2025 Youth Trek
Morehead City and Greenville Stakes

July 10th-July 12th, 2025 at Marriott Ranch in Hume, VA
Youth turning 14 years old this year through graduating high school seniors are invited to participate in this unique and memorable experience as they reenact a handcart trek. Youth will have powerful opportunities to strengthen testimonies, build unity, feel gratitude for the sacrifices of the pioneers, and appreciate their blessings more fully while engaging with youth from the Greenville and Morehead City Stakes.
All youth and adults attending trek (Ma's & Pa's and support staff) need to register. Online registration is closed. Please reach out to Sis. McCarlie or Sis. Merville for late registration.

Pioneer Names
All youth need to find a pioneer name they can take and represent on Trek. Click below for helpful information from the historical committee.

Youth, find a person, learn as much as you can about them and "bring" them with you to trek as you walk in their footsteps. This can be your own ancestor or a pioneer selected from the church list of pioneers.

“Brothers and sisters, join with us and begin now to prepare for a spiritual journey . . . by walking in the footsteps of our beloved pioneers in every land. We must be sure that the legacy of faith received from them is never lost. Let their heroic lives touch our hearts, and especially the hearts of our youth, so the fire of true testimony and unwavering love for the Lord and His Church will blaze brightly within each one of us as it did in our faithful pioneers.”
—Elder M. Russell Ballard “Faith in Every Footstep” Ensign, Nov 1996, 25
